Tony Hadley, as the lead singer of the band Spandau Ballet, was one of the great pop icons of the 1980s. The most recognizable face of the New Romantics movement, they dominated the decade with an unbeatable string of number-one hits such as “Gold,” “Only When You Leave,” “Lifeline,” the epic “Through The Barricades,” and, of course, the huge success “True.”
Tony Hadley also contributed his voice to the charity single Do They Know It’s Christmas? and performed at the legendary Live Aid concert held in London in 1985. He also appeared at the concert dedicated to Nelson Mandela at Wembley Stadium in 1988. As a solo artist, he has released five albums, including the swing-inspired Passing Strangers (2006) and the Christmas record The Christmas Album (2015). For the concert at Port Adriano on August 1st, Hadley promises the classic hits of Spandau Ballet while also showcasing his devotion to Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett.
With a legendary career behind him, Tony Hadley revisits the great anthems that defined an entire generation, blending them with songs from his solo career. His powerful voice and carefully crafted stage production turn every concert into a special experience, where nostalgia and musical quality go hand in hand, delivering an energetic and emotional live performance that connects with the audience from the very first moment.
