Port Adriano opens its doors to the Doggie Race a unique and family event where everybody will enjoy and where the pets will be the real protagonists.

It is a different and special race where humans and their pets will run together as a family, with the main objectives of raising awareness about the importance of having a pet and getting the municipality of Calvià more Pet Friendly every year, where Pets are gradually being accepted in more public places and where green spaces are created for them.

The sports part of the race will consist of a circuit of 2 kilometers where participants can run or walk with their pets, although it is a sports event, it will not have a competitive character and all participants will have their prize on arrival at the finish line. With this idea, we are looking for a relational sports event, where both owners and members of the family who wish to participate as their pets, enjoy a day where everyone will be protagonists.

The event will take place on September 20th.

Agenda (Pending confirmation):

9:00-11:00 Pick up of race bibs.

11:00-11:30 Solidarity race. The sporting part is a race of almost 2 kilometres in which participants can run or walk with their pets. The race will be non-competitive and all participants will receive a prize at the finish line. The spirit of this initiative is none other than to share a day of fun between lovers of the canine world and man’s best friend.

11:30-12:00 Prize-giving ceremony

12:00-12:30 – This will be followed by an exhibition by the Guardia Civil cynological service. The next display will be by a team of security dogs.

12:30-13:00 Canine Parade: to close the event there will be a magnificent parade by the Asociación Peluditos de Son Reus to promote the adoption of dogs.

Registration and race rules

IMPORTANT: Each runner is one entry.

Several people can run with the same dog, but each person must register individually, even if the dog’s name is the same. The race number belongs to the person.
One person cannot run with several dogs.
