This inlet forms a sheltered natural harbour, lying between Cala d’Or and Mondragó, closed off by Punta de Sa Torre and Es Frontet. The marina berths are managed by the Real Club Náutico Portopetro, for boats up to 20 m (up to 25 m on buoys). The harbour oozes charm, and numerous llaüts, traditional Mediterranean boats, moor here. Evening is the best time to stroll around it, stopping off at one of the bars or restaurants nearby. On the cliffs of Portopetro stands Can Lis, the house where Jorn Utzon lived, the Danish architect who created the Sydney Opera House and winner of the Pritzker prize 2003.
