Sandra Lehnis is an award-winning painter, draftsman and printmaker (artist residency: 6 months in Genoa and 2 months in Venice, Italy) who has lived in Mallorca for 17 years and whose works have been exhibited nationally, in Switzerland, Italy and the USA. Mainly inspired by nature, particularly its colors and shapes, her non-figurative compositions also explore themes related to growth and expansion. Sandra Lehnis creates mainly with acrylic and mixed media on wood or canvas.
After a 10-year break due to work, Sandra Lehnis is finally showing her work again in a solo exhibition. It is her first solo exhibition in Mallorca. She has already participated in various group exhibitions on the island: Gallery Addaya, Alaró, Gallery Bennassar in Pollença and Gallery Espai Miquela Nicolau in Felanitx.
The exhibition in Port Adriano shows works from different creative phases. In total, she exhibits more than 50 works, small and large, paintings and etchings. The artist book ‘esmolar la garrova’ with poems by Biel Mesquida and 3 of my engravings will also be shown http://murtraedicions.com/Catala/Edicions-llibre-Lehnis.html.
“My quiet pictures want to set a counterpoint to the world that has become very noisy and hectic and offer the viewer a space of stillness.”
Come visit her exhibition this summer at Port Adriano.
