| Expansion of Port Adriano: The home stretch |
|
The work to expand Port Adriano has entered its final stages. Although the new facility will not be fully operational until early 2011, the first superyachts can start using the new moorings in June.
The recently completed utility piping concludes the works on the new dyke, and the counter dyke is currently being concreted. Work on the cliff is well under way, and the road and car park are scheduled to be completed and operative by the start of the new season.
Work on the repair area should also be completed during the summer, and the foundations for the buildings in the new commercial area located on the inner dock will be laid in April.

| 20 meter moorings also with fuel service |
|
All crafts using the new 20 meter moorings at Port Adriano will also be able to refuel at the dockside without having to go to the fuel station. They can also dispose of any waste and bilge water without moving from the mooring. These are, amongst others, some of the new services offered by Ocibar to make its customer’s stay as comfortable as possible.

| “S’Altra Banda”, Ocibar’s new marina in Minorca |
|
Since Ocibar took over management of the moorings on the northern shore of Mahon Harbour in November of 2009, it has been working hard to draw up the construction project that is geared towards improving the services and infrastructures of moorings and whafs.
The new marina, called “S’Altra Banda” (literally, “The Other Side”, which is how the place is known), will have a total of 450 moorings.
The scheduled construction work, which will begin in the coming weeks, will consist in replacing the old wharfs and man-made islands, improving accesses and lighting, and providing power and water supply to the area, as well as the disposal of liquid and solid waste generated by the crafts, paying special attention to measures aimed at reducing consumption to preserve the environment. Plans also call for a high-quality dock service and a ferry service providing access to the floating islands and the city.
With this new concession, Ocibar now has marinas on the three main islands of the Balearic archipelago, thus making island-hopping easier for its customers.

Her functions include the deployment of the new services and improvements that Ocibar has planned for the new marina. Anna Pasquina will also head the marketing effort for the entire group.
